Today was my 19.5 week ultrasound appointment, Jared was originally scheduled to go with me, however they are short on lineman this week so his boss asked him if he could skip this appointment. It all worked out because my sister Jessica was dying to go with me to an ultrasound, so I still had good company with me.
Anyway, the appointment today was a full anatomy check of our little guy. The ultrasound tech was checking his bones, legs, arms, hands, heart, brain, facial profile, stomach, spine, etc. This was the most extensive appointment we have had thus far. It was so crazy to see all the little details that are so important. Baby Motherway was super active today (as usual) so wasn't completely cooperating for his photos, etc.
The good news for today is that my marginal placenta previa is gone and my cervical length was 4.5 centimeters which apparently is really good and what they were hoping for. I guess if my cervical length was 2.5 centimeters or less at this point they would be more concerned about pre-term delivery prior to 30 weeks. Ultimately all news was good news today. I also met with a different doctor who I haven't seen before who extensively read my ultrasound once the tech's were done, as well as did a 15 minute clinic visit. I was literally at the doctor's office from 2-5pm today a full 3 hour doctor's visit...insane!
All in all the appointment was worth the wait, as I was given a lot of good information and saw some pretty incredible photos on the ultrasound screen of our baby!

That is so exciting. I'm so glad that the placenta previa went away and that your cervix is cooperating. What a blessing! I'm so excited for you. Congrats Mommy-to-be!!

Your Auntie Jose and Uncle Mike can't wait to meet you! But don't be in a rush to come out quite yet! You are doing a good job growing in your mommy's belly! Your mommy wants to make sure you are big and strong when you meet us! Oh, and please, for good measure, kick mommy in the tummy as often as you can so she knows how big and strong you are! (And good nephews do what their Aunties and Uncles tell them to!) We love you and can't wait to spoil you rotten!
