I had another appointment today which started out with fetal monitoring. I was hooked up to the baby heart rate monitor and the contraction monitor for half an hour. No contractions, just a very happy baby! His heart rate was fantastic as usual, so I am of course very pleased.
After the heart rate monitoring I met with my doctor who I might add is amazing!
After doing a quick ultrasound, we saw there was plenty of amniotic fluid, Baby Mo is still head down, and his little feet are digging into my ribs on the right side. All looks great and the doctor couldn't be more happy that I have made it this far. She also mentioned that I am still not very big considering how far along I am, but there were no concerns with that comment.
Otherwise, from here forward I will be doing weekly doctor's visits and weekly fetal monitoring.
At 34 weeks (which is Saturday) if I happen to go into labor the doctor's won't do anything to stop it as they consider that a healthy time for the baby to be delivered if he chooses to make an entrance then.
Otherwise, they still think I won't make it to full term because of my unicornuate uterus, but anything is still possible.
I am just getting more and more excited by the day! I did have maternity photos taken on Sunday and can hardly wait to see how they turned out. Plus my baby shower is this weekend and I am getting pretty antsy for that as well!!!
