Wheel of Fortune!

About a week or so ago I heard that that the Wheel of Fortune's wheel bus would be visiting the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City on September 26th and 27th for potential "auditions" to be on the show. I was pretty excited being the nerd that I am. To think about being on a fun game show is just super exciting for me. I originally asked my mom to go with me, but she wasn't too interested. So I called up my friend Paige and she said, sure why not. Saturday morning I went and picked Paige up for our day adventure to the beach. We had such a great day together, and hope to get a letter in the mail in the near future inviting us to be on the show!

Car Window Smashed

Last night while I was watching The Biggest Loser there was a major crashing noise coming from what I thought was the other room. As it turned out, some (we assume kids) threw a vodka bottle at our parked (uninsured) Jetta that we have been trying to sell and dented the trunk and smashed the window in. All due to high speeds in a "family neighborhood" and one bottle. I can hardly believe the damage they caused.

We called the St. Helens police who filed a report and took the bottle to hopefully pull fingerprints from it. Fingers crossed they will be able to find whoever did this.

Anyway, the damaged window will be around $200 to replace.....pretty ridiculous considering this was something out of my control.

28 Week Ultrasound

Jared and I had our 28 week ultrasound on Friday, September 18th. Everything appears to be going well so far. We made it to an excellent mile marker in pregnancy and I am beyond excited.

Our little guy appeared to be weighing in at 2 pounds 8 ounces. He is growing so fast!

Quick Doctor's Checkup!

Today I had an appointment with my doctor to check on me and Baby Mo. It was just a regular OB visit. They did their usual routine, blood pressure, etc. Once the doctor came in, she brought an ultrasound machine to do a brief check on the baby. Normally I would have an ultrasound appointment, so we were both a bit surprised that I only had a doctor's visit today. Regardless, they always do a quick ultrasound if I am not scheduled with the ultrasound tech.....one advantage to being high risk!

From what she saw, the amniotic fluid looked great, his heart rate was perfect, and overall without the advanced machine, her view was that he is growing and doing well. The baby was head down and facing up towards my belly, which explains the little pitter patter kicks I get up towards my chest....it is always fun to figure out how he is positioned and what is going on!

I will be 28 weeks this Friday and they still need to do a more in depth ultrasound to ensure his growth is on target and that my cervical length is still nice and long. With the particular condition of my uterus, they are now starting to worry about early delivery and other such complications. So I was told I really need to take things easy and just pay attention to my body and symptoms from here forward.
I have another appointment on Friday morning to continue to monitor our little guy. I will post more updates at that time!

Here is a picture from the brief ultrasound they did this morning....not great, but it is better than nothing!

Jared's 30th Birthday Surprise!!

Today is Jared's 30th Birthday.

Yesterday I pulled off a huge 30th birthday surprise party!! I wasn't sure I would be able to pull off such a big event without him suspecting something was up! Due to Jared's background he has never really had a birthday party....so I was so happy to put together such a fun shindig!

There were a lot of people involved that helped make this event successful and I can't begin to thank them all enough!

Jared's friend Kevin was the biggest help with him while my family and I decorated, etc. Kevin pretty much stalled Jared all day long, didn't let him go home when he wanted to and made up a story to get him to the actual event location. All in all, he had no idea until he was staring inside the building at all his friends and family.
