Things I am Looking Forward to in 2010

I am stealing Heather's idea on this post.....but such a good idea, I couldn't help myself!

  • Every 1st that Keegan will have this year!
  • Celebrating every day that I am a new mom to our wonderful little baby Keegan
  • My very first ever "Mother's Day"
  • Jared's very first ever "Father's Day"
  • My 29th birthday - July 18th
  • Jared's 31st birthday - September 6th
  • Keegan's 1st birthday - December 8th (although, this year can take it's sweet time)
  • Jared and I will be celebrating our 4th Anniversary - August 26th
  • Continuing growth with my company AMD (back to work Feb. 8th), and officially been with the company as a full time employee for 3 years on Feb. 19th
  • Getting myself back in shape after having the little guy
  • Working on and finishing Keegan's baby scrapbook and my pregnancy scrapbook
  • Possibly entering a walk/run locally
  • Becoming a full time Advocare Advisor to earn extra income - 40% to qualify
  • Going camping this summer
  • Weekly meal plans - hence trying new recipes at home!
  • Finishing my knitting project (the scarf that I keep getting stuck on)
  • Being better about sending out birthday/anniversary and fun cards - snail mail style!
  • Seeing Jared build a computer - he is so excited!
  • Spending more time outside (taking Keegan for numerous walks/runs in his jogging stroller
  • Shelly and Ryan's wedding in Las Vegas (June 18th)

Okay so that is all I can think of for now......I am sure I will come up with more after I post this blog.

Back to Work!

Monday of this week was a bittersweet day for me. The oh so dreaded back to work day, after having the last two months with our precious little guy!

I dropped Keegan off at the new daycare for the first time ever, and immediately started feeling super empty inside. Thank goodness for my sister and mom that talked to me through flowing tears all the way to work!

I only cried on Monday (in the morning) so I am more than impressed that I was able to hold it together all day. I was sooo anxious to pick him up on Monday night, only to find he did wonderfully! I thought for sure that Tuesday would be the same amount of tears, and surprisingly I haven't shed a tear since dropping him off that first day. I suppose they say it only gets easier from here.

Being back at work is somewhat weird, but I have a completely new outlook in life all together, so am looking forward to what lies ahead.

I am so thankful that all has gone well for Keegan this week.

Keegan is 2 Months!!!

Keegan's 2 month stats:
Weight: 9 pounds, 10 ounces (15th percentile)
Height: 23.5 inches long (75th percentile)

He is taller than he is heavy....super skinny little bug!

He had 3 shots as well as an oral vaccination today and appeared to do very well with them all, only a few tears.

Our 2 month old:

Wii Time!

Jared and I are watching our two nephews Dylan and Thatcher for a few hours a couple times a week. They were so excited to hang out with us and get to play the Wii. Plus Keegan gets to spend time with his cousins and "watch", soon enough he will get to play too.

Here are the boys playing Wii:

New Dishwasher

Our dishwasher decided after it's short 5 year lifespan to die on us! We had to buy/install a new one...so Keegan learned at a very young age how to help daddy install one..hee hee so cute! This was taken on January 14th.
MOM - The flash is soooo bright, do you really need to take a picture?
