Easter Bonnet Contest - I WIN!!!

I just got home from a "catering party". Every year in April the lady I work for (sorta a side job doing serving at catering events) throws an employee bash to kick off the "catering season". There is always tons of food, fun, games, and PRIZES. I am always amazed at the creativity and thought she puts into her parties.

Well, this year she decided to make things interesting and told us that we needed to create an "Easter Bonnet" that we would be judged on - there would be prizes! I wasn't really sure what to create, so Jared and I discussed some options. I already had a pink cowboy hat with rhinestones on it and figured that would be the best hat to wear. I spent a bit of time on Saturday night trying to come up with something and pretty much gave up. I think I had something in my mind, but couldn't quite figure out how to place it on the hat. I went to JoAnn's Fabric and purchased some cheap misc. items that I could possibly sew on the hat, or creatively place. I even bought easter grass, but ended up not using it.

After almost not putting a hat together at all, an hour before the party I decided I wanted to win the 1st place prize.....so I got busy putting my easter bonnet together .
