On Tuesday I went in for my glucose test. I had heard horror stories about how awful the test was, etc. Yet as it turned out the whole thing was nothing to flinch about at all. I had heard it would make you nauseated, sick, etc. etc. Luckily for me, I didn't experience anything from this less than painful glucose drama.
Basically, I went in and was given an orange drink that tasted like overly sugary orange soda...not bad tasting at all. Then I had to wait an hour for the doctor to draw my blood. I was told that I would get the results that day or the next morning.
I got a phone call Wednesday morning from the nurse giving me the results. She did a drum roll even, it was quite funny. Once her drum roll was finished, she told me I passed the test with flying colors..and I quote "go eat a donut sweetheart". The news was quite entertaining. I was also told I am not anemic.....so overall great news!
Oh and as a side note, I didn't eat a donut....but I did make some brownies...yum yum!
